7 Tips to Become Fearless and Achieve your Goals

What stands between you and your goals?  Surly there is an obstacle, or several.  The truth is there will always be an element that you must conquer to reach your desires awaiting you in the distance.  On most occasions, we take what is in our way head on, defeat it, and continue our journey.  However sometimes the roadblock is larger or unfamiliar, causing us to plateau, second-guess ourselves, and slow down or completely stop our progress.  We slow or cease our journey because these obstacles are rooted in fear. Fear causes us reluctance to take another step forward and turn around. Here are 7 tips to crush the fear rooted boundaries in your way of achieving your goals.  I advise that you read each one, then interpret how they may apply to your journey.

1.) Believe in Yourself Unconditionally
I start with the most important tip on the list, because it might be the hardest to do.  Every following tip will relate to both achieving your goals, and accomplishing the task of unconditional self love.  Believing in yourself is key because you are on your own journey, with your own mission, that requires self love and faith that you can accomplish anything.  Once you can master this feeling, you are granted such heightened power such as focus, increased drive and dedication, a heightened positive outlook, and extreme clarity over what you want.  You will learn to rely on yourself and know undoubtedly that you can accomplish anything.  After all, if you don’t believe in yourself, who will?

2.) Stay Mindful of Your Thoughts
We are all guilty of letting negative thoughts seep in, either consciously or unconsciously.  Try to stay aware of your thoughts and call yourself out on them.  If you recognize a negative thought creep in such as doubt, frustration, and anger, learn to acknowledge the thought and let it go.  Remind yourself after each one that these thoughts are counterproductive and irrelevant to your goals.  It is OK to feel negativity generally, we are human, those thoughts will naturally happen out of fear.  The more we can see them and remember to face them and let them go, the more frequently we will keep our focus and positive energy, all directed towards your goals.

3.) Focus on Love
If you are in pursuit of your dreams, chances are you desire that dream because you love it, or you love the idea of the outcome.  Always keep this angle in sight.  It is easy to get distracted or stagnant because the road ahead seems long and difficult.  In these times, remember why you love the outcome and remember why you decided to start in the beginning.  Furthermore, strive to love the process of getting to the finish line.  No matter how hard the tasks in front of you may be, just think of how rewarding it will be when you achieve.  This ecstatic accomplished feeling is directly linked to the feeling of love.
4.) Define Fear
What does fear mean to you?  I am sure everyone will have a slightly different definition based on experience.  Overall, my take on fear is that it is the illusion of safety.  Instinctually, fear is a necessary emotion for survival.  As we have evolved, we now use fear as a defense mechanism against what is unfamiliar or uncomfortable.  In pursuit of our goals, we will be asked to partake in many new and uncomfortable tasks where our experience is lacking.  It is here that fear steps in to prevent you from attempting the task due to our natural need for comfort.  If you can determine what fear means to you, you can better see how it is impacting your journey.  The more you can understand, the easier it becomes to trek forward.

5.) Put Yourself in Uncomfortable Situations Purposefully
As the saying goes, practice makes perfect.  If you put yourself in unfamiliar situations, it will feel more natural when the time comes.  The key to this tip is knowing your personality type and what is unnatural for you.  For example, let’s look at an introverted person who has to give a large public speech in pursuit of their goal.  They already feel shy and will be uncomfortable on stage.  Their situation would be improved drastically if they practiced uncomfortable situations such as exhibiting extroverted traits more regularly.  Doing this will eventually enhance their self confidence and comfortability when the moment comes.  For this tip, do some self reflecting.  Try to identify challenges that may come up in your journey and find ways to prepare for them.
6.) Meditate and Visualize
Your ability to manifest increases when you attach physical sensations to it.  Close your eyes, breath deeply, and visualize your goals.  What are you feeling when you achieve it?  What does it feel like, smell like, and sound like?  Who and what are around you when you achieve it?  The more specifically you are able to see it, the more likely you are to keep your motivation to achieve it.  This technique also works great to relax and create no doubt that you will reach your goals.
7.) Stay in the Moment and Let Go
When in pursuit of your goal, there is no need to look to the future.  Although the past may provide tools and knowledge going forward, the future can be counterproductive.  It is great to visualize and feel your goals, but if your mind stays in the future too long it will allow negative thoughts of uncertainty to creep in.  When you stay in the moment, you are sending a powerful message.  You are showing that you have no doubts that you will make it.  It is a statement to be truly present filled with beauty, awareness, and positivity.  Let go of all desires and focus on each moment, everything else will fall into place when it is meant to be.  

Ultimately we all strive for a form of success.  No matter what you are thriving for, focus on these 7 tips to achieve your goals.  In combination, you can become unstoppable.
