This is a subtitle for your new post
Over the years, so much emphasis has been put on the morning routine. Ambitious people all over the world are constantly trying to find and improve on their morning routines to set themselves up for success.
Regardless if you have a morning routine that works well but want some new ideas, you are trying to improve it, or you are looking for information on building a morning routine, you are in the right place.
There are countless methods and tactics to test out and apply to your current or routine or when building a new one, so let's dive in!

Firstly, why is a morning routine important for success and achieving goals? And why is the morning so emphasized as opposed to the rest of the day? This is because the morning sets the tone for the day. If you start the day off positively with high vibrational energy, it will enhance your focus, attitude, energy levels, and awareness. These are all traits that you will need to exhibit for success. Now, let’s get into some traits that make a good morning routine.
1.) How Long Should a Morning Routine Be?
This is dependent on the individual and what works for you. We however recommend that any morning routine be between 90 minutes to two hours long. This is so you don’t feel rushed, you can play with different elements of your routine, and put your full attention on each element of your routine. The length can of course be more or less but the more time, the better. Especially if you are adding exercise into your routine...bringing us to our first routine element.
2.) Exercise
Although it doesn't work for everyone, exercise can be a great part of a morning routine. We recommend putting exercise in your morning routine if you are prone to procrastination or need an energy boost. Our physical health is crucial and it impacts our mental health as well. However many individuals delay exercise until later in the day, making it common to find an excuse to not get it done. The benefits of movement are immense and can take your day to new heights. So even if you do exercise regularly, we recommend trying some form of it in the morning to see how it impacts your day.
3.) Journaling
Journaling extends by the common conceptions of having a diary to express your thoughts and feelings (although this is a valid aspect of journaling in the morning). Journaling also gives you the opportunity to get organized through to-do lists, setting daily and weekly goals, and even generating a creative outlet if you feel up to it. If you want to try journaling, our pro tip is to get a journal with a book cover that you are attracted to. Seeing this book every morning will create the desire to stay consistent with your writing.

4.) Allow Natural Light into the Room
Natural light is a game changer as it contributes to our overall health. It provides our bodies with Vitamin D increasing our immune health, it helps us wake up and improve our circadian rhythms and sleep patterns, stimulates dopamine production in the brain to make us feel happier, and helps us focus which is great for the other elements of your morning routine.
5.) Hydrate
A huge part of our health is hydration and drinking an adequate amount of water. H2O provides many key benefits including transporting nutrients throughout the body, aiding digestion, flushing bacteria, normalizing blood pressure, stabilizing the heartbeat, and cushioning the joints among other factors. So instead of reaching for the coffee first thing in the morning, down a 20oz glass of water first to get your daily consumption off to a great start.

6.) Make a Healthy Breakfast
Nutrition is another task that can take a back seat of importance throughout the day. If unmotivated or out of routine, it is all too easy to choose unhealthy options, eat out, and pick choices of the easiest convenience. However, nutrition is also a task that becomes easier with time as your healthy choices become more routine. A healthy breakfast does not take long to make and it will set the tone for your nutrition throughout the day because when you get off to a strong start, you are less likely to cheat or make unhealthy choices later on. Starting with a healthy breakfast will also give you the feeling of productivity and lead to other potentially great decisions such as meal preparation, allowing you to consume healthy food and save money all week.

7.) Meditate
Meditation may be intimidating or hard to start adding into your morning routine, but we promise it pays huge dividends. It is an action where you can dedicate all of your energy and attention inward and focus only on yourself. This is a time to allow your mind to become blank, achieve total awareness of your body and emotions, and the ability to let go and stay in the present moment not only meditating, but throughout the day. Meditation is a great addition to any routine for mental health, staying present, and manifesting your goals and dreams. We recommend starting with 5 to 10 minute meditations, and increasing the duration when you feel ready.
