Taking Action Towards your Goals

Taking action towards your goals can be a struggle.  When you look at your goals from afar, you may see a mountain of looming tasks and obstacles to encounter and this can be intimidating or discouraging.

These feelings can make it hard to self motivate and progress towards achieving your goals.  You might say to yourself, “damn, I have to workout today.”  Or, “I really don’t want to cook a healthy meal tonight.”  Or in my case right now, “I really do not feel like writing this weekly blog, I’m tired.”

But what if you shifted your energy away from, “I have to, and I don’t want to.” To instead say, “I get to.”  What is the long term shift in your mind and internal thought process?

I do not mean to be too morbid, but every year roughly 65 million people die worldwide.  This number equates to 178,000 deaths each day, 7,425 each hour, and 120 deaths each and every minute.  Take a minute to fully take that in…

This means that someone who enjoys movement and fitness did not get to move today, or that another seeking self growth and personal goals had their journey come to an end.  It helps us to comprehend just how truly precious every waking second and each and every moment truly is.

When you say you get to do something instead of saying that you have to or you don’t want to, a couple gradual shifts occur.  It is not just the feeling of gratitude for the opportunity to proceed, but it also impacts the way you proceed as well.

Sticking with the fitness example, when you get to exercise, it becomes less about you and more about the moment.  For example, when your thought process is that you get to exercise, it becomes less about looking a certain way or losing weight, instead it becomes more about fun and doing something that you enjoy.

This principle of getting to do something can be applied to anything you desire.  Working towards career goals, relationship goals, even boring and tedious tasks such as household chores, everything is a true privilege.  And when you start to recognize this and express it with the correct language, your life, manifestations, and energy will change quite rapidly.

What is something that you get to do today?  Share in the blog comments, and we at Results Fitness Mobile hope you get to have a great day!
