The Future of Fitness is Here, and it is all Encompassing.

Fitness, health, and wellness are truly fascinating topics.  The industry and the knowledge base have grown so much in just the past ten years.  As a youth, I remember frequently going to sporting events of all genres and watching players static stretch before games.  This is now considered a hard “do not do this”, in the sporting world as players now perform dynamic exercises, foam rolling, and resistance band work to warm up.

The point being, kinesiology is the youngest science in the world, dating back only about 60 years.  This means there is still so much to learn and so far still to progress.

So now, let’s get to the normal world of health and wellness for you and I, the normal individuals outside of professional athletic standards.  What blows my mind the most is not how far fitness has come, but how many aspects of it are still neglected to this day.  So much focus is placed upon aesthetic goals such as weight loss, muscle gain, hitting a number on a scale or an inches number on a measuring tape.  And then there is focus on one element of fitness training, IE crossfit, yoga, weight training, cardio training, and pilates. The point being, is that so many aspects are neglected.  Focus is placed on an appearance goal and a format of training that an individual enjoys, causing the body to be unbalanced and also neglecting the whole mental side of health and wellness.

Fix Injuries, learn anatomy

Don’t get me wrong, nothing is bad about wanting to look a certain way or finding an activity that you enjoy.  All movement is good movement.  However, it is best for our physical and mental health to stay as balanced as possible.

This topic is also a major shortcoming of corporate training and the programs that companies decide to use to promote employee health.  Corporate training is the one place where having a niche is not the best solution.  With a medium to large size employee base, goals will drastically vary person to person.  So having a wellness company come in that focuses on weight loss will neglect a large amount of the employee population.  When the ultimate goal is to increase participation to generate positive outcomes for the business revenue, eliminating a wide range of goals through working with specifics can hurt the company’s goals of implementing the program.

Furthermore, many wellness programs do not focus on mental health.  So much of productivity costs, absentee rates, and retention can be directly correlated to stress and anxiety, issues which remained untouched by aesthetic based fitness companies.

Weight loss, muscle gain, appearance, goals

The good news is, this is all about to change.

At Results Fitness Mobile, we focus on all aspects of health to provide companies and employees with all of the tools they need to achieve their goals, both physically and mentally.  We are constantly creating solutions to solve challenging problems in the fitness industry such as the mind body connection, fixing common injuries, and helping people thrive in all walks of life.  And today, we announce our latest innovation, Lyra.

Lyra is a chatbot that was built by us to solve detailed complications in the fitness world.  It is not Artificial Intelligence, as  every corner of Lyra was built out by our amazing trainers and all chats can be taken over by a Results Trainer at any time.  Lyra asks the user for not just their aesthetic goals, but also their hobbies and enjoyed physical activities and current limitations, and builds custom workouts around this information.  Let’s dive in deeper to see what Lyra can do!

New Paragraph

Lyra can build customized workouts specific to each users needs.

Build me a Workout Feature

When a user uses Lyra, they can simply tap “Build me a Workout” to begin the process.  Lyra will ask the user what they wish to work on that day which ranges from strength training, cardiovascular training, stretching and mobility, toning, and Interval training.  The user simply picks a type of training and then selects if they wish to use equipment, bodyweight, or a combination of both.  Lyra will take this information and create a custom workout video based off of the persons’ individual needs.  This takes into account their limitations, goals, and what equipment is available to them.  This means that every user gets a unique workout, every single time.  It also makes Lyra the first platform to deliver customized workout videos and not just workout methods in a text format.  This also means that if the user works out at home, uses a gym, or travels and the available equipment varies, Lyra can still deliver a unique experience to anybody, from anywhere in the world.

fix pain, fix injuries, fix back pain,

Help me Relax Feature

So much of health and wellness rests on the mental side and it is neglected by most wellness programs.  With Lyra, the user can simply tap the “Help me Relax” button and Lyra will deliver content specifically tailored to stress management, mental healing, and personal growth.  This content consists of a wide arrangement from journal prompt pdf’s presenting deep thoughted questions, to guided meditations, positive self-affirmation videos, breathing exercises, and entertaining but helpful videos on a wide variety of topics.  This feature can also help the user dive into their subconscious thoughts and help them recognize potential patterns that may lead to their stress.  The help me relax feature is super important and can go a long way towards not just relaxing the user, but motivating them to pursue fitness goals as well as when the mind is right, the body will follow.

Games, Motivation, and Nutrition

Lyra also strives to produce a foundation of knowledge in all users about health and the human body.  Lyra does this through games.  Lyra plays trivia with its users, so they can learn human anatomy and the basics of kinesiology.  This helps the user grow an interest in health and will increase the usage rate of the platform.  So many shortcomings in health are through intimidation or feeling uncomfortable, and these issues subside when comfort is grown through personal knowledge.  Plus, it is always fun to play games!

Lyra also provides daily motivational quotes to kick the users day off right.  When asked, Lyra will provide a daily quote that can be crucial to a positive shift in mindset, allowing the user to pursue their highest self-daily.  Quotes vary from funny, to serious, to thought provoking, but all have the goal of shifting the subconscious to helping the user actively pursue their goals.

Lastly is nutrition.  Lyra provides daily recipes from the Results Fitness Mobile cookbook.  All recipes are healthy and include accurate macronutrients for anyone keeping track.

Conclusion
